Distribution Collaboration

This August, UE LifeSciences signed an exclusive distribution partnership for licensing and marketing with Molbio Diagnostics to expand iBreastExam in India, the Middle East, Africa, CIS countries and Indonesia, Philippines and Vietnam (in collaboration with Wellesta). This collaboration will ensure that iBreastExam’s reach expands to new regions, determined by a focused lens on impact.

UE LifeSciences was recognized as one of 14 winners of the prestigious Empowering Vulnerable Communities Challenge, selected from 162 global entries. Malaysia's Leading Pharma Company To Scale iBreastExam

Malaysia’s top ranking pharma company, Duopharma Biotech Berhad (“Duopharma Biotech”) through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Duopharma Marketing Sdn Bhd (“Duopharma Marketing”), has signed a Distribution Agreement to scale iBreastExam in Malaysia with U.S. based women’s health innovator company, UE LifeSciences Inc.’s Malaysian wholly-owned subsidiary UE LifeSciences Sdn Bhd (“UE LifeSciences”).

The collaboration is set to launch and scale the iBreastExam across Malaysia, a breakthrough innovation for radiation-free, clinically effective and accessible breast cancer early detection for women of all ages and demographics.

According to Malaysia’s National Cancer Registry 2019, Late-stage cancer presentation is Malaysia’s biggest challenge with the NCR reported alarming trends. In 2012-2016 the percentage diagnosed at late stage (Stage III, IV) increased to nearly 48%. This highlights the importance of early detection of breast cancer in increasing the chance of successful treatment and reducing cancer-related mortality. The incidence for breast cancer is highest in age groups 35 – 75 years. Study on Cancer Survival 2018, the 5-year relative survival rate for breast cancer among Malaysian women was nearly 60% for stage III and 23% for stage IV.

Under the distribution partnership, UE LifeSciences and Duopharma Biotec plan to collaborate with private and governmental healthcare sectors by making iBreastExam available at primary-care clinics across Malaysia to bridge the lack of access to early detection. American Cancer Society, Ex-Chairman joins UE LifeSciences

A highly decorated onco-surgeon, Dr. Arnold Baskies has joined UE LifeSciences’ Medical Advisory Board. He is the Past Chairman of the National Board of Directors of the American Cancer Society and has been involved with the American Cancer Society for over 37 years. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the American Society of Breast Surgeons since 2017.

Dr. Baskies has been awarded the American Cancer Society’s Silver Chalice Award in 1998, and the Society’s St. George National Award in 2009. He has held leadership positions at every level of the organization, including service as the first board scientific officer for the American Cancer Society Board of Directors in 2015, and the chief medical officer and chairman of the board of the Eastern Division, having served as a member of the Board since 2013.

He was the first and only chairman of the NJ Governor’s Task Force on Early Detection, Prevention and Treatment of Cancer. He has created and chaired the cancer control plan for the state since 2000. He has also served as a member of numerous societies, including the Society of Surgical Oncology, the American Society of Breast Surgeons, the American College of Surgeons.

UE LifeSciences and the American Cancer Society are currently collaborating to address disparities and inequities in breast cancer care, through innovation and advocacy. The alliance will focus on addressing gaps in early detection and access to treatment. UE LifeSciences will support the American Cancer Society’s National Breast Cancer Roundtable in its inaugural year and has renewed its support for American Cancer Society’s Cancer Action Network.

Pivotal Collaboration with India's Largest Women's Health Company

HLL Lifecare Limited, a Government of India Enterprise, has joined hands with UE LifeSciences to combat breast cancer in India by providing sales, marketing and distribution support for the iBreastExam nationwide. HLL has a strong distribution network reaching out to over 30,000 gynecologists across the country. For the year 2021-22, HLL registered a record revenue of $4.3B and a profit before tax of $67M.

iBreastExam offers a standardized process for clinical breast exams, eliminating variabilities in the examination process and the training challenges. Given the issues associated with mammogram screening in low resource settings, this device serves as a practical alternative for safe and effective triaging. Clinically validated through independent studies involving over 25,000 women, iBreastExam is a unique technology that promises to democratize women’s health.

Supporting ACS National Forum on the Future of Healthcare

As part of ACS Cancer Action Network’s on-going commitment to addressing the disparities in health care faced by many cancer patients and survivors, this year’s conference is focused on some of the challenges faced by specific populations of cancer patients including communities of color, older patients, and LGBTQ cancer patients and survivors.

Our Executive Director, Shikha Jaisighani (second from left) and Sales Manager, Rachel Greider (third from left), attended the event to meet with cancer researchers and thought leaders and to learn how they are addressing health disparities in cancer care.

Through a series of robust panel discussions, the conference highlighted how practitioners, sites of care, and the private sector are rising to the challenge to address many of these disparities, and how public policies can ensure that advances in care improve access and affordability for all communities.
